Comparison of Titmus® and Two Randot™ Tests in Monofixation (Abstract)
Maria A. Schweers, C.O., and John D. Baker, M.D.

Patients with monofixation syndrome having reduced stereoacuity were studied using the Titmus® Stereo Test and two forms of the Randot(TM) Stereo Test.

The results show a difference in stereopsis in these patients when using the Randot(TM) 1 compared with Randot(TM) 2 and Titmu®. This difference is related to the fact that all of Randot(TM) I is a true random-dot stereogram while most of Randot(TM) 2 and Titmus® are nonrandom-dot stereograms.

Random-dot stereograms are more difficult for patients with monofixation. It is important not to confuse the two forms of the Randot(TM) Stereo Test, for each has a unique purpose.
