Original Series Description
New Studies in Phenomenology and Hermeneutics aims to open up new approaches to classical issues in phenomenology and hermeneutics; to further the work of Edmund Husserl, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, and Martin Heidegger—as well as Paul Ricoeur, Hans-Georg Gadamer, and Emmanuel Levinas; to enhance phenomenological thinking today by means of insightful interpretations of texts in phenomenology as they inform current issues in philosophical study; and to inquire into the role of interpretation in phenomenological thinking. In summary, this new series intends to provide a forum for a full and fresh thinking and rethinking of the way of phenomenology and interpretive phenomenology, i.e. hermeneutics.
