Aniseikonia, the Bane of Binocularity: With Views on the Management of Monocular Congenital Cataract (Abstract)
I. Matthew Rabinowicz, M.D., F.R.C.S.
Aniseikonia and its correction achieved great importance during the heyday of the Dartmouth Eye Institute. The tools for its correction have changed from size lenses to complex optical prescriptions, contact lenses and pseudophakic implants. Its theoretical understanding is crucial to the appropriate correction of congenital monocular cataracts, and to deal with problems induced by monocular surgical procedure.
